This committee, along with the band directors and the booster membership, plan, organize, and host the annual Blue Devil Classic Marching Band Contest on the third Saturday of October each year. Various sub-committees are formed to direct the activities required to conduct the annual contest.
31th Annual BLUE DEVIL CLASSIC Marching Band Competition October 20, 2012
Attention all parents!
We are in full gear planning our 31st Annual Blue Devil Classic (BDC) which will be held on Saturday, Oct. 20th. This will be held rain or shine. This is Mooresville Pride In Motion's turn in sponsoring a Premier Band Competition at our stadium. We will have 23 bands come from all over the region to compete, and 8 of these bands will perform twice. The BDC is a major fundraiser which helps us with the purchase of our show from year to year as well as miscellaneous items that aid our students in performance.
So, all hands are needed to come out for an very musical, exciting day! The more the merrier. Volunteers are needed to help prior to the event and during the event. We need everyone's help to continue to make this one of the most successful band competitions in North Carolina! The event will begin with opening ceremonies at 10:00 am, but volunteers will be needed as early as 7:00 am. Volunteers are encouraged to sign up on www.signupgenius.com.
